Student Support Services

Support for students impacted by the Nepal flash floods — academic and wellbeing support, in confidence.

The recent flash floods in Nepal are deeply distressing to the global community. This is especially true within our close community at MIHE. Our thoughts and hearts are with those directly impacted. It’s extremely challenging if you have family, friends and loved ones in the affected region.

It is extremely overwhelming to be in such a powerless position where we’re unable to assist. This means that we end up worrying and the lack of information compounds our powerlessness.

How MIHE can support you

We at MIHE, are here to provide you with support, and in the first instance, if this is impacting you, please contact your lecturer, and they will be able to provide advice on academic issues, especially special consideration and reasonable academic adjustments.

If you need further assistance, or if you feel overwhelmed and unable to take this first step, please contact Student Welfare Support, and we can put further support in place due to this very heart-wrenching incident. Please do not hesitate to reach out if it becomes more difficult.
